Fast cars deserve fast doors.
The needs of a high-performance car dealership are diverse: from showing and selling cars to servicing them, every element and touch point of the customer’s journey with and within a luxury car dealership should reinforce why they’re there - to have a premiere experience with a premiere brand.

Part of the reputation we strive for as a door company in Edmonton is excellence, and our work at the Mercedes Benz Edmonton dealership is something we’re proud to put our name on. At this project, we installed three different kinds of overhead doors in three locations on the property, each achieving a different goal.
Here are all the details:
Steel Craft Aluminum SA7000
The showroom is usually the first touch point for Mercedes Benz guests. It welcomes visitors and sets the tone for their entire experience. To match a commitment to style, function, and luxury, we installed the Steel Craft Aluminum SA7000.
These doors offer a stunning glass aesthetic that lets light flow right through. A highly secure aluminum frame prevents break ins and the range of lite panels boost curb appeal by facilitating brightness. The construction is tough (which means fewer door repairs) and fully corrosion resistant. Polycarbonate options include clear, bronze, green, blue, and red, so there’s a range of style options that will suit the look of any high-end project.
Hormann Speed Guardian 4000
When a customer brings their car in for a service, the overhead doors they drive through should instill confidence that their vehicle is in good hands. To match the public-facing showroom doors, here, we used the Hormann Speed Guardian 4000.
This door is German-engineered for incredible quality and uncompromising speed. Energy efficiency is a key factor of this door, and insulated panels with urethane and galvanized steel panels and double sealed insulated windows yield excellent efficiencies – extra important during long Edmonton winters.
A standard light grid is integrated with the guide tracks to allow for safety when passing and also reduce the likelihood of damaging the door itself. Finally, a no touch roll-up design reduces signs of wear and keeps the door looking shiny and new for years.
Steel Craft Therm-o-dor
The overhead door at a busy Edmonton service bay needs to be efficient while offering tremendous climate control. For Mercedes, we installed the Steel Craft Therm-o-dor to meet and exceed both of these requirements.
These doors are out of the public eye, so we were able to hone in on function first. These doors fully seal out weather and cold, keeping energy savings in. They are locally made from Canadian steel that stands the test of our winters. Strength and durability come standard, holding up well even with impact (and they’re incredibly easy to service, which eliminates downtime if there ever is the need for an Edmonton door repair).
The doors are also combined with heavy duty hardware and interior side locks that are secure and strong, delivering everything you could need from a service bay overhead door.
The Mercedes Benz of Overhead Door Solutions
Used in combination, these overhead doors are a triple threat offering the right combination of style and function, depending on the location and application. If you have any questions about the Mercedes Benz project or about the overhead doors we used, don’t hesitate to get in touch!
